2 Key Modules, made up of 18 subjects.

Module 1: Adventure Tourism (100 hours)
This course is designed to cover all elements of the adventure tourism industry, from outdoor adventure and management training, the customer, artificial environments, supply, geography, sustainability and environmental impacts. You will also learn the skills to plan and manage the provision of adventure tourism services, specifically looking at what the adventure tourism opportunities look like in this new COVID-normal world.

Module 2: Tourism (100 hours)
Designed to develop your skills in tourism planning and management, you will learn the foundations of the tourism industry, from booking services, transport, accommodation, tourist retail outlets and attractions.

Worldwide, millions of people are employed in the tourism industry – from coach drivers to travel agents to hotel concierges, as well as all the other hundreds of occupations that cater for tourists and travellers. The skills and knowledge you will learn in this course will help you be better placed to pursue any variety of these opportunities in this global industry.

Assessment

Assessments are a critical step in the learning process. They help ensure you stay on track and meet the learning objectives of each lesson before moving onto the next. They also help your tutor identify where any further support may be required, so that you get the most out of your course.

You will learn via various methods; a combination of reading, interacting with tutors, undertaking research and watching videos. Each lesson will conclude with an assignment which is marked by your assigned tutor and returned to you with feedback, and if necessary, some recommended additional reading. Assessments may come in the form of – case studies, quizzes and written assessments.
