Upon completion of your course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion and a Statement of Attainment for each module completed.

The comprehensive course also covers all aspects of feline diet and nutrition, preventative health care and treating illnesses and breeding, so you can feel confident to provide care for cats in both a work environment and at home with your own pet.

Course Outline

2 Key Modules, made up of 17 subjects.

Module 1: Domestic Cat Care (100 Hours)
This course offers a solid foundation for anyone working in the pet industry or for passionate cat owners, to better understand how to care for cats.

Covering all aspects of diet and nutrition, preventative health care and treating illnesses, you will also learn about breeding and how to potentially turn it into a business.

Developed with the feline professional or cat enthusiast in mind, the course will take you through an experiential learning experience designed to help you develop knowledge and skills to work with cats confidently.

Module 2: Cat Psychology and Training (100 Hours)
This course was designed to help you better understand cat psychology and apply that knowledge to manage and influence the behaviour of your cats. From domestic cats to wild cats, you will learn the fundamentals of cat psychology, as well as understanding cat senses and communications and identifying normal and abnormal behaviours. You will also develop skills in basic cat training and obedience training, while also learning how to operate your own cat business, to set you up for success if you aspire to start your own cat training business.

Assessment

Assessments are a critical step in the learning process. They help ensure you stay on track and meet the learning objectives of each lesson before moving onto the next. They also help your tutor identify where any further support may be required, so that you get the most out of your course.

You will learn via various methods; a combination of reading, interacting with tutors, undertaking research and watching videos. Each lesson will conclude with an assignment which is marked by your assigned tutor and returned to you with feedback, and if necessary, some recommended additional reading. Assessments may come in the form of – case studies, quizzes and written assessments.
