Course Outline

3 Key Modules, made up of 32 subjects.

Module 1: Animal Grooming (100 hours)
This course is designed to teach you how to groom farm animals or pets for better animal health and wellbeing, or for competitive pet grooming and exhibition-level animals. You will learn the basics from how to handle animals, how best to care for an animal’s skin and coat, to grooming dogs and exotic animals and preparing for a showing.

Module 2: Dog Care (100 hours)
Learn about dog breeds, biology, behaviour and training, health care and more from experienced, highly qualified veterinary and canine experts. This course is designed to teach you how to keep dogs healthy and understand them better, so you can improve the way you manage them and work with them.

You will learn how to recognise breeds and their characteristics and apply relevant practical training tips to work with those breeds effectively, as well as practical strategies for breeding to help you develop an opinion about breeding overall.

Module 3: Starting a Small Business (100 hours)
Learn how to start your own small business and know what you need to do to make sure that your business profitable and successful. The course is designed to provide you with the fundamentals so you can then develop your business ideas with guidance from a business expert to refine and improve how you move forward.

This course is unique in that it not only teaches you about small business; but it gives you an opportunity to formulate your own business plan and improve it through the well-structured lesson plan, while you interact with and get feedback from an experienced and well-qualified teacher.

Assessment

Assessments are a critical step in the learning process. They help ensure you stay on track and meet the learning objectives of each lesson before moving onto the next. They also help your tutor identify where any further support may be required, so that you get the most out of your course.

You will learn via various methods; a combination of reading, interacting with tutors, undertaking research and watching videos. Each lesson will conclude with an assignment which is marked by your assigned tutor and returned to you with feedback, and if necessary, some recommended additional reading. Assessments may come in the form of – case studies, quizzes and written assessments.
